Activities & Achievements till date: 

20th February 2004:

A commemorative programme celebrating the pre-birth-centenary year of Pankaj Mullick was organised at Rabindra Sadan. The Programme comprised speeches in memory of Pankaj Mullick by Late V. Balsara amongst others. Singers who paid tribute to the memory of Pankaj Mullick during this programme included Sri. Saikat Mitra, Sri. Arjun Chakraborty, Smt. Indrani Sen, Smt. Sreeradha Bandopadhyay, Smt. Arunlekha Gupta (daughter of Pankaj Mullick) and Smt. Jhinuk Gupta (grand-daughter-in-law of Pankaj Mullick).

 7th January 2005:

Another commemorative programme was organised, this time at Shishir Mancha to celebrate the launch of the Centenary Year of the birth of Pankaj Mullick. This programme featured tributes to Pankaj Mullick by Sri. Kabir Suman and Smt. Jhinuk Gupta. This programme was organised in association with the organisation - Avinandan. Rave reviews of this programme were published in quite a few daily newspapers and magazines.

 

 December 2004 to March 2005:

The members of the family and the Foundation as well as a host of fans were very keen that a Commemorative Postage Stamp was issued in honour of Pankaj Mullick on the occasion of his birth-centenary by the Dept. of Philately. To achieve this, the Foundation approached Shri. Somnath Chatterjee, Hon. Speaker, Lok Sabha, Shri. Priya Ranjan Das Munshi, Hon. Minister for Water Resources, Shri. Buddhadev Bhattacharya, Hon. Chief Minister of West Bengal, Shri. Subroto Mukherjee, Hon. Mayor of Kolkata, Shri. Chuni Goswami, Hon. Sheriff of Kolkata and Shri. Paritosh Sen, the legendary painter. Each one of them recommended the proposal quite graciously.

 January to April 2005:

Commemorative articles on the birth-centenary of Pankaj Mullick have been published in Bartaman, Pratidin, Anandalok, Vishwa Beena and Ananda Abakash till date.
